Registered Children's Home Manager- £45,000 - £50,000 (plus up to £10,000 bonus)

This role will be based in Taunton, Somerset

If the answer’s yes, then your next career step could be working for us. We’re looking for an exceptional person to join us as the first Registered Children’s Home Manager for a new partnership between Homes2inspire Limited, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset County Council.  

Working in Somerset, you’ll be an inspirational role model for our young people and a person-centred leader able to train, progress and develop colleagues. You will have experience of working in an Ofsted registered provision and be confident working with people with challenging behaviours and complex needs.  

The Registered Children's Home Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running (in line with Children’s Homes Regulations) of the Children’s Home including promoting the safeguarding of young people’s welfare.

What you’ll bring 

  • An enthusiasm to work for a top ten residential children’s homes provider, Homes2Inspire, which is part of one of the UK’s largest charities, Shaw Trust.  
  • A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare 
  • At least two years recent experience working in a Registered Children’s Home setting in supervisory or management role. 
  • An understanding of the regulations and legislations which set the standards within a Children’s Home setting and experience working with Ofsted. 
  • The ability to work closely with Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership. 
  • A full UK Driving Licence. 
  • An enhanced DBS will be required (funded by Homes 2 inspire)

Homes2inspire Limited, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset County Council have formed a unique partnership to offer homes and support for children and young people within Somerset who have experienced significant trauma and difficulties in their lives. We are creating a different sort of home and care for children and young people which offers them flexibility and support from a full range of people that can help them. This home is part of a wider service we are developing together including, more children’s homes, high needs foster carers, CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) intensive treatment houses and therapeutic education. Homes2inspire is a leading provider of Children’s Homes with 30 homes across the UK. Our teams strive for excellence for our children. 

The partnership is also able to offer wider support and clinical supervision with mental health and social work practitioners.
