Homes2Inspire, in partnership with Derby City Council, is seeking a dedicated, resilient, and ambitious Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a brand-new two-bed children's home in Chaddesden, Derby (DE21).

This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape a new service from the outset, creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive. We are looking for a leader who can confidently navigate complex situations, inspire a team, and maintain a clear focus on achieving positive long-term outcomes for children and young people.

Located in Chaddesden, Derby, this new two-bed children's home will support children and young people with complex needs who require a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment.

Working in partnership with Derby City Council, the home will provide high-quality residential care focused on stability, therapeutic support, and improved outcomes for young people.

As Registered Manager, you will have the opportunity to build the culture, recruit and develop your team, and establish a service that reflects Homes2Inspire's commitment to exceptional care and safeguarding.

  • Build positive relationships with Derby City Council, external agencies, commissioners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor quality, outcomes, and service performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead on recruitment, development, supervision, and performance management of staff.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy effectively.
  • Create a nurturing environment where children and young people can flourish.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a passionate and child-focused leader who brings resilience, compassion, and strong leadership skills.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within children's residential care, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders and external agencies.
  • A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • The resilience to manage a demanding but highly rewarding service.

Ambitious Deputy Managers looking to take the next step into Registered Management are encouraged to apply.
