Description

“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”

At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.

Purpose

Shaw Trust is a strategic partner in Mental Health Together (MHT), a new integrated service bringing organisations together to provide seamless, person-centred support for people with mental health needs.

As a Mental Health Navigator, you’ll play a key frontline role, helping individuals with complex needs access the right care without barriers or repeating their story. You’ll deliver holistic, trauma-informed and personalised support, working collaboratively across services to improve outcomes.

You’ll be one of the first points of contact, so strong communication, empathy, and a commitment to creating a positive experience are essential. Working within a multi-agency team, you’ll value partnership and co-production, involving individuals and carers as equal partners in their care.

This role suits candidates with proven experience in community mental health or wellbeing settings, a strong understanding of local services, and the ability to support people in setting and achieving meaningful goals.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience supporting people with complex mental health needs
  • Be skilled in person-centred planning and active listening
  • Thrive in collaborative, multi-agency environments
  • Be passionate about improving mental health services and outcomes
