Description

“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”

At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.

For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.

Purpose

The Senior Data Business Partner will work closely with Senior Operational and Corporate colleagues and wider Technology Directorate to support the implementation of the Information Sub Strategy by ensuring the needs of the business are met for performance reporting and management information.

The role will lead and manage the requests of operational and corporate colleagues to ensure the automation and building of performance reports. This role will work as a conduit between operational colleagues and the data team supporting the Data Analysts and Developers, ensuring that all requirements and delivery timescales are communicated clearly, adding significant value through effective support.

This is a brand-new role in the business with the opportunity to shape this supportive function, building a responsive and highly performing team. They will be responsible for key stakeholder management in connection with management information and business intelligence from requirements capture, high level design, low level design, development and delivery.

They will design and advocate for streamlined and efficient practices and solutions, leveraging our existing toolset (Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI) to ensure that solutions deliver value to the business and are resilient, scalable, well managed, performant and cost-effective.

Reporting to the Director of Digital and Data, they will work closely with all members of the Technical Directorate and be a key part of the Data Architecture Department and wider IT Management structure.
