Residential Senior Support Worker

Location: Newark, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £27,785 – £30,275 per annum + £46.01 per sleep-in and up to £1,400 attendance allowance
Shift Pattern: Earlies, lates, long days, and sleep-ins on a rotational schedule

Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships with others are vital! As a shift leader, the right candidate will be someone who leads by example, upholds standards, and ensures that the safeguarding of children and young people underpins all decisions made.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and mentor Support Workers and Waking Night staff.
  • Lead shifts, ensuring smooth operations and effective task completion.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children to foster resilience and growth.
  • Support team development, embedding best practice in care.
  • Organise activities that inspire joy, learning, and personal development.
  • Record and reflect on children’s progress in meaningful ways

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: Previous work supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Resilience & Flexibility: Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential)
