At Homes2Inspire, we are dedicated to creating a brighter future for the young people in our care. As a Residential Youth Support Worker in our children's homes, you will be a key part of a close-knit team committed to providing stability, guidance, and support for vulnerable young people. Your role will be to empower them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a trauma-informed setting.
We are looking for someone who is kind, calm, and can listen. We want our support workers to really engage and interact with our young people – being creative with activities and making fun and creating memories along the way!

Core Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure the protection and safeguard the wellbeing of the young people in our care.
- Support with day to day tasks within the home, such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, daily routines.
- Support and encourage involvement with activities both within the home as well as out in the community.
- Taking our young people to school or to medical appointments, activities etc.
- Demonstrate the value of education, care and development to achieve better outcomes.
- Build and create mutual trust and respect with our young people in order that they respond and react appropriately to information and advice.
- Define structures and boundaries of behaviour to young people, acting as a positive role model, so they understand daily routines expected.
- Produce, maintain and distribute house paperwork to ensure relevant information is recorded accurately and is available.
- Support and analyse the young people’s behaviour to encourage them to participate in a positive structured routine.
- Create and produce activities to occupy and develop young people in order that they gain life skills and education on an informed basis.
- Maintain knowledge of and apply the relevant legislative, regulative and standards against inspection framework requirements.
- Provide basic advice and skills to young people on managing their finances and other everyday life skills.
- Updating records on a daily basis
What You’ll Bring
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
- A willingness to work towards QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare, which is fully funded by us!.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays to meet operational needs of the home
- Be able to cover sleep ins – on average one a week.
- Positive role model – honesty and empathy are a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and a calm demeanour.

- £27,619 - £28,650 per annum (£13.28 - £13.77 per hour)
- 40 hour a week, permanent contract
