Purpose

Since March 2015 Shaw Trust has been responsible for the education and Careers Information, Advice and Guidance delivery at ‘Feltham Young Offenders’, supporting young people aged 15-18 years old.

The purpose is to empower our learners to take ownership of their education and career, as we strive to create a nurturing environment and a curriculum that not only meets educational standards, takes into account the needs and gaps in the employment market whilst also addressing the specific needs of young offenders.

The direct focus is on enhancing each young person’s quantity and quality of educational activity, to equip them with qualifications, confidence and resilience in preparation for their release, and to help prevent future reoffending.

We’re looking for a specialist Health and Wellbeing Practitioners to support Shaw Trust  colleagues that work within ‘Feltham Youth Offenders’  to provide immediate, consistent, and proactive support, that will aim to foster healthier work environment and ultimately improve the quality of support provided, by bringing about a more resilient workforce, further equipped to manage the emotional demands of their role and provide the best possible support for our learners.
