Purpose

We are looking for a IPS Service Manager who can oversee the day to day delivery and overall performance of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Support Employment programme. Combining vision and direction with strong relationship building and people management skills, you will take accountability for project performance across our own delivery. You will need to have an expert understanding of Individual Placement and Support, the fidelity scale and how that interacts with the IPS fidelity manual.

 

You will be responsible for managing Team Leader(s) which will involve providing regular supervision around IPS and supported employment  practice issues, as well as support around complex staffing and caseload issues.

Your role will involve building partnerships with local NHS Trusts, employment providers and referral sources as well as maintain partnerships with stakeholder and commissioners.

You will work in partnership with local mental health team Service Managers/Team Leaders, ensuring the IPS Service in integrated within the NHS Mental Health teams. You will also build positive working relationships with external partners, most notable NHS England and IPS Grow.

Essential:

You will have:

  • Understanding/Experience of the Individual Placement and Support model and/or Supported Employment Model.
  • Understanding of the practical impact of common health conditions on an individual’s ability to work.
  • Knowledge of provider and referral networks across the local area.
  • Experience of achievement in a target-driven environment and ability to drive performance through focused performance management.
  • Experience of line management and staff development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a target driven environment.
  • Practical experience in accessing external support services and well-developed networking skills.

Location:

This a peripatetic role and you would be expected to be in the community at least 50% of your working week supporting your Team Leaders/Employment Specialists.

Potential delivery areas are: North Norfolk, Breckland, Broadland & South Norfolk, Kings Lynn & West Norfolk, Great Yarmouth, Norwich
