Purpose

The IT Delivery Manager reports to IT Programme Manager and has the overall, end-to-end responsibility of the delivery of a project or activity. Projects will cover either business-driven project supporting growth or new service delivery or technology consolidation and implementation projects to rationalise the IT infrastructure. This includes the shaping of the approach to achieve the desired outcomes, through to delivery and finally transitioning into the Service Operations team. The position involves, coordinating projects and resource management within the project or activity. Working with IT team and business stakeholders and sponsors, ensuring communications remain timely and relevant. Reporting on progress made, risks or issues that are stopping the delivery from occurring and any activities that are planned in the future where support is required. Finally, the IT Delivery Manager will monitor and report on all financial management activities, from the cost to achieve the outcomes, through to the benefits realised. It is essential that standards are followed, and policy and processes observed to provide effective customer service and meet requirements through an ITIL framework. Ensuring delivery requests are recorded accurately, timely and progressed to the conclusion that meets the customer's expectations. Managing the delivery pipeline and systems to ensure the business demands are managed, progressed and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed of their individual requests.
