Base Salary: £25,798 - £26,331 per annum- sleep-ins paid at 44.56 per sleep in + allowance of an attendance bonus of £1,400 per annum.
Shift Pattern: Working a varied shift pattern which may include earlies, lates, long days and sleep-ins.

Overview:
We have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Residential Youth Support Worker to be based at Burtone House which is a 3 month emergency placement home. At this home we can support up to 3 children between the ages of 10 - 18. The main aim is to support children and young people who are coming out of crisis situations feel safe and settled in a short-term placement to enable the local authority to find a suitable long term placement. This could be returning to the family home, a long term residential placement, or foster care.
What Does the Role Involve?
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll provide stability, guidance, and mentorship to young people who have experienced trauma. Your work will be challenging, unpredictable, and deeply rewarding. Every day will be different, and your job will include:
- Supporting and caring for young people – helping with daily routines, activities, and emotional well-being.
- Managing challenging situations – using your resilience and empathy to de-escalate conflicts.
- Encouraging personal growth – supporting young people to develop independence, education, and life skills.

- Creating a nurturing environment – helping to build a safe and stable home.
