Purpose

The IT Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the lifecycle management of a diverse IT asset portfolio (including laptops, mobile devices, tablets, printers, monitors and periphery equipment) across multiple sites. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient purchasing, deployment, obsolescence management, and disposal of hardware, as well as managing collaborative and productivity-related software. The position requires strict adherence to company policies and regulations throughout all asset management processes.

The Head of IT Service Operations will be responsible for Asset Management of all IT assets working with key business stakeholders to oversee and drive the delivery of Asset Management workstreams ensuring a proactive approach to driving automations, integrations and continuous improvements, whilst ensuring robust technical and security oversight.

They will be responsible to work closely with internal developers to leverage and optimise Intune and Hornbill software data management and automation capabilities to create efficiencies through automation.

This role will line mange a 12-month FTC Asset Administrator as well as support the Head of IT Service Operations with the management of the 3rd party asset supplier, including granular reporting analysis.

Reporting directly to the Head of IT Service Operations they will work closely with all members of the Technical Directorate and be a key part of the IT management structure. 

Essential:

You will have:

  • Experience with IT asset management tools and systems (e.g., Intune, Hornbill)
  • Expert understanding of the Hardware and Software Asset Management Lifecycle and experience in all aspects of Hardware and Software Asset Management
  • Proven track record in managing IT hardware and software assets across diverse locations 
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders
