Health & Safety Manager - Peripatetic - Homes2Inspire

We are a leading provider of residential care for young people, and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team. This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures across our portfolio of children's homes throughout England. Locations vary from Nottinghamshire down to Somerset.
About the Role:
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our young people and staff. You will:
- Lead and develop a robust health and safety culture across the organisation.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections in all of our homes throughout England.
- Deliver engaging training to staff on health and safety best practices.
- Provide expert guidance and support to managers on all health and safety matters.
- Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with senior leadership to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide line management, support, and guidance to Facilities Managers, including supervision, appraisal, and coaching.

The post holder will need to be flexible in developing the role in conjunction with the line manager. The post holder may be asked to carry out any other delegated duty or task that is in line with their post.
About You:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health (essential).
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in fire risk assessment.
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety management role, ideally within social care or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to risk management.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
