Role: Senior Service Support Co-Ordinator

Salary: £27,648 - £30,125 per annum + on-call payments of £150 a month once probation has been passed.

Shifts: The shifts can be flexible between 8 and 12 hours, mainly during the day, however you will be expected to drop into the shift patterns to support on both days and nights to support if there is sickness or annual leave.

Belinda Ferrison House is a semi-independent accommodation in Northampton for care leavers aged 17 – 25 years, providing care leavers the very best steppingstone to a brighter future.

Belinda Ferrison House has 19 flats for care leavers leaving care, is staffed 24/7, and provides support sessions, workshops and activities to support the transition to independence.

The Senior Service Support Co-Ordinator will have accountability for the delivery of bespoke services to support care leavers residing in Belinda Ferrison House. You will supervise, mentor and guide Support Workers and work collaboratively with a multi-agency team.

Essential:

· 1 years' experience of working with young people

· QCF Level 3 in Child and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent

The role of Senior Service Support Co-Ordinator requires you to provide 24/7 on-site support for young people, being the first port of call for young people for immediate advice, guidance and signposting them to other key workers or agencies. You will be required to effectively manage and supervise BFH staff to achieve positive outcomes for young people.

You will also be required to:

· Provide a full administrative service so that the needs of the functional/departmental team are met.

· Maintain effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with in a professional manner that meets audit requirements.

· Maintain comprehensive forms and documentation required by the function/department so that it is available when required.

· Collate, produce and distribute regular and ad-hoc statistics and reports so that individuals and departments receive accurate up to date information.

· To facilitate key work session with young people to achieve required outcomes against their pathway/ care plan.

· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people based at provision, carrying out daily health and safety checks and monitoring visitors.

· Work directly with the young people in supporting them to gain the skills to carry out practical tasks, as well as supporting them in achieving positive health and wellbeing outcomes.

· Carry out minor maintenance and cleaning tasks as required..

· Line manage and supervise staff within BFH as required by the Project Service Manager.

· Provide cover for shifts in the absence of Service Support Co-Ordinator.

· Support the 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call arrangement as required.

· Ensure the protection and safeguard the wellbeing of the young people in our care.

As a residential provision this is a 52 week/24-hour service. You will be required to work a shift pattern which includes Day, Middle and Night shifts.
