Purpose

The IPS Team Leader will manage a team of up to 10 Employment Specialists employed by Shaw Trust and one delivery partner.  Providing supervision, training, caseload management, and role modelling of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, as part of the holistic recovery plan for mental health clients. The IPS Team Leader will provide a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users.

 

Providing vision and direction you will work with the IPS Service Manager and the Senior IPS Operations Lead in the development of our Individual Placement and Support Service. Making sure our clients receive the best service to meet their particular needs, you will be comfortable in managing contracts against our agreed service objectives and outcomes. Uppermost in your mind, will be building strong collaborative working arrangements with an extensive partnership network across our communities.

Working with the IPS Service Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing delivery performance, building service capability, capacity and quality. You also will provide skilful relationship management ensuring positive and productive relationships are maintained.

An ability to champion and embrace change is essential.  An understanding of how the development of community-based services and the integration of health and social care impacts the lives of people with mental health challenges would be advantageous.

Essential:

You will have:

  •  Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience of working with people with mental health support needs, or a similar group within health, social services or the voluntary sector
  • Relevant experience working in employment services

Location:

Role covers Birmingham and Solihull; this will include regular attendance at each NHS Site in the geographical area with some home working.
