Purpose

Shaw Trust is looking for a motivated and dedicated Business Development Partner to join our dynamic Bid Team. As Business Development Partner, you will have extensive experience in bid management and producing high-quality bids. The ideal candidate will be a team player and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve a common goal.                                       

At Shaw Trust we have extensive experience of supporting individuals through a broad framework of services including Employment support, Education and Skills, Children and Young People’s Services, and Health and Wellbeing. We partner with the UK Government, devolved administrations, local authorities, combined authorities, and NHS Trusts, and are committed to employment as the core pathway to a better life recognising that access to good employment is critically dependent on what happens in people’s formative years and the opportunities they then have.                                           


The role is home-based and requires developing excellent working relations with multiple stakeholders across a large organisation. Occasional travelling may be required.

Essential:

You will have:

  • Educated to degree level and/or significant experience in bid management within the welfare to work sector
  • At least two years of proven track record of successfully managing competitive tender process / bid writing leading to securing strategic, high value (£5m+) government funded or commercial contracts within one or more of the following areas: employability, children’s services, mental health and wellbeing, justice, learning and skills
  • Experience of successfully project managing a large team of stakeholders for the production of complex bids within tight deadlines
