Purpose
This role supports our aspiration to enhance Shaw Trust's reputation within the digital accessibility sector and aligns with our growth strategy and inclusion and diversity agenda. The Digital Accessibility Specialist will provide guidance and support to the digital accessibility delivery team, developing products that meet customer requirements, and ensuring our services remain cutting-edge and effective. This position will also play a key role in driving innovation, improving processes, and representing Accessibility Services at industry events and through networking with key stakeholders and partners.
Essential:
You will have:
- An in-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS and the principles of digital accessibility and usability, together with a knowledge of JavaScript
- Working knowledge of assistive technology (JAWS, Dragon, Zoom Text) and Windows and OSX accessibility features
- Previous experience in a similar role with an accessibility consultancy or digital agency
