Purpose 
 

This SENCO vacancy is an exciting new role to support the ongoing growth of the Shaw Trust Supported Internship programme. This affords the successful candidate the opportunity to shape the role and help to develop the supported internship programme even further.

The successful candidate will be self motivated, a successful innovator, trainer and supporter of colleagues. They will be able to work under pressure, give clear advice and guidance to staff working with vulnerable young people with SEND and have excellent communication skills.

In addition, they will have experience of the cohort and SEN landscape and be able to multi task, travel across all our SI sites and work with the management team to make the Shaw Trust supported internship programme a market leader in quality of delivery and in achieving key outcomes.

 

Essential: 

You will have: 

  •  Be comfortable working remotely using a range of digital channels
  • QTS teaching qualification 
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a class teacher with secure judgements of good and outstanding teaching 
  • Knowledge of the range and type of interventions available and be able to apply these appropriately in the context of the SI's resources and the individual

Homebased with nationwide travel.
