Job Opportunity: Support Workers for Residential Children's Home

Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire 

Salary: £27,428 - £27,948 per annum

Above salary is inclusive of 1 sleep per week.

Overtime & Sleeps: Overtime opportunities available and sleep in allowance of £43.47 per sleep.

Bonus: Earn up to additional £1,400 per annum Attendance Bonus.

 

About Us

We are excited to announce the opening of a new residential home for children in Brackley, Northamptonshire. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in making a meaningful impact on the lives of the children in our care.

Homes2inspire Ltd are part of the Shaw Trust and are working in partnership with Northamptonshire Children’s Trust to provide safe homes for children and young people from the county.

 

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive, warm environment for up to two younger children.   You will act as a professional parent, providing the care, nurture, stability, and support that our young people need to develop and progress.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Nurturing Support: Build positive relationships with children, providing emotional and practical support and create an environment where our children feel safe and loved.
  • Daily & Personal Care: Provide day to day care, ensuring every aspect of our children’s needs are met.
  • Professional Parenting: Promote, and support the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of our children.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our children.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records detailing the journey of our children, in a way that is thoughtful and meaningful.
  • Making Memories: Provide our children with the opportunities and experiences to make happy memories.

 

Qualifications and Skills

Although previous experience of working with young children would be ideal, it is not essential; you will be provided with the training you need to best support our children and young people.  

We are looking for individuals with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to engage with children and work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals. You will have the confidence to handle challenging situations with patience and a calm demeanour and believe that every day is a new day.   You must be willing to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
