An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Children's Home Manager in one of our Bedfordshire Homes!

Homes2Inspire provides homes and services that are committed to providing safe, well-planned care to children and young people who have often faced real challenges in their early years. 

Working in partnership with the local authorities, Homes2Inspire will provide child-centred care to the Young People who need specific support and safeguarding.

As a Deputy Home Manager with us, you will work closely with the Home Manager to assist in the overall management and operation of the home. The role will include deputising for the Home Manager in their absence, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home and ensuring quality and standards of care are upheld.  

What you’ll bring:

  • 2 years' experience working with young people in a Residential setting  
  • QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent (in line with Ofsted regulations) 
  • Ability to take increased levels of professional responsibility  
  • Understanding of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of a children’s home  
  • Capabilities to identify own and others professional, care and training needs  
  • Resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations 
  • Positive role model – honesty and empathy are a must 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Capabilities to review and implement young person’s care plans and risk assessments 
  • Ability to form effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies 
  • Willing to work towards Diploma Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification with the view to become a Registered Manager in the future
