Job role: Senior Youth Support Worker
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Salary: £29,366 - £33,195 per annum (Inclusive of sleep-in payments and attendance bonus)

In partnership with the local authority, the home provides child-centered care to young people who need specific support and safeguarding. A working day in a residential childcare setting can be unpredictable with varying duties. As a Senior Youth Support Worker, you will support the management team with directing roles and responsibilities to support workers and ensure the monitoring of children and young people’s behaviour, safety, and well-being.
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 1 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting
- QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)
- Resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.
- Positive role model – honesty and empathy are a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet operational needs of the home
- A full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

Key responsibilities:
- Providing support to the Deputy Manager and Home Manager of the home whilst on shift and performing senior duties as directed
- Helping to create a positive and safe environment for each young person
- Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with Homes2Inspire expectations, Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes
- Contributing to reviewing and implementing young person’s care plans and risk assessments
- Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
