Youth Support Worker 
£20,077 - £20,341 Dependant On Experience (Pro-Rata)

This is an exciting time to join the Youth Support Team as we expand our youth work offer.  We have a number of part-time, permanent Youth Support Worker vacancies in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean, Stroud and the Cotswolds.

Successful candidates will be an invaluable part of our mission to provide an exciting and engaging Youth Work offer for young people across the districts.  As a Youth Support Worker, your role will be vital in supporting some of the most vulnerable young people and those with complex needs to make effective transitions into adulthood. We are looking for individuals that are passionate about this line of work, who are able to develop positive relationships with young people, and are able to be a positive role model for both colleagues and service users. Your role will involve supporting young people to undertake tasks, engage in activities, develop life skills and helping them overcome barriers to participation and achievement.

Essential:

You will have:

  • Experience in a relevant area of work, eg Youth Work
  • Experience of working with young people, their families and communities, particularly those at risk of social and educational exclusion 
  • Experience of providing young people with practical support and guidance 
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to the needs of the service and users
