Accessibility Assessor
£20,078- £21,866 Dependant On Experience  

Accessibility Services is a flagship enterprise of Shaw Trust, supporting organisations, across the UK and internationally, to become digitally accessible. 

Our aim is to educate and influence, by raising awareness of digital inclusion in society. Digital accessibility is about ensuring everyone, regardless of their skills, abilities or disabilities, can access information, technology, products and services, often using assistive technology. 

With over 30 year’s combined experience our client base comprises of private, public and third sector organisations including FTSE 100 companies, many of whom are household names.

We work with customers from when they start designing their website or app through to product creation and launch, and provide testing, technical support and consultancy.

Our in-house Digital Testing Team is unique in the marketplace, and has first-hand experience of disability and assistive technology, which brings a real-life perspective, both personally and professionally.

Please note that to be considered for this role you will have to have personal expiernece using keyboard or non mouse navigation due to a disability.

Essential:

You will have:

  • Willingness to work towards relevant apprenticeship programme/qualification
  • Good computer skills 
  • Use of assistive technologies and Window’s accessibility features 
  • Use of Microsoft operating systems 
  • Experience of using the following:
    Keyboard or Non-mouse navigation for users who have a mobility disability
