Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker or Support Worker with a background in Residential Childcare looking to take the next step up in your career?  

Job role: Senior Support Worker 

Contract: Full time, Permanent 

Location: Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire 

Salary: £28,102 - £30,426 per annum (Inclusive of 1 sleep-in per week at £41.60 each) 

Homes2inspire have partnered with Northamptonshire Children's Trust to deliver an exciting new service that will work with children in residential children's homes who need some time to for the professionals around them to work out what the best next steps are for them. 

Working with children over a limited time period, these residential children's homes will enable children the space, safety, and calm to understand their current position and help to quickly ready them for what happens next.  

This will mean working closely with the social care teams, foster carers and families to understand the child and their needs as well as identifying and working with the team around the child to establish what is currently available to support them. 

As a Senior Support Worker, you will support the management team with directing roles and responsibilities to support workers and ensuring the monitoring of children and young people’s behaviour, safety, and well-being.  

Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships with others are vital! As a shift leader, the right candidate will be someone who leads by example, upholds standards, and ensures that the safeguarding of children and young people underpins all decisions made.

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 1 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting  
  • QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (In line with Ofsted requirements)  
  • Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties 
  • Full UK driving licence
