Description

Shaw Trust in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) will be delivering the Find Your Future project in Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country. The aim of the project is to equip unemployed and economically inactive adults with the skills and support they need to take full advantage of training, volunteering and employment opportunities created before, during and after the Commonwealth Games (CWG).  

Delivery Team Leader  

As a Delivery Team Leader you will work in the local community, managing a team of Employment Coaches who will work with a caseload of unemployed participants to provide intensive employability support to help them overcome barriers and achieve realistic job goals. As Delivery Team Leader you will coach and empower the team to deliver a high standard of performance, ensuring that all contractual targets and quality measures are met.  You’ll build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective links to support with the generation of referrals, raise the profile of the project and encourage signposting channels and collaborative working.  

Additionally, you will manage a reduced caseload, providing support directly to participants.  

Essential Criteria  

  • A recognised first line management qualification or equivalent experience 
  • Strong track record in achieving individual and team performance targets 
  • Experience in successfully leading a team and coaching staff in a high performance and quality culture 
  • One to one people development skills and experience of providing high quality one to one support or coaching that is motivational and engaging 
  • Experience of engaging and working with employers and developing job opportunities for unemployed adults
