Operations Manager - WHP WLA JETS

The Shaw Trust, in tandem with government and the broader employment support community across the UK is working hard to make sure we support as many individuals as possible to get and keep a job. To help us in this mission we are looking to expand our employability services Work and Health Programme Job Entry: Targeted Support (WHP/JETS WLA) and looking for WHP/ JETS Operations Manager.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Director- West London Alliance, the role will be aimed at supporting the performance of the expanded Work and Health Programme Job Entry: Targeted Support (WHP/JETS). The role will ensure all operational delivery is operated safely, efficiently and achieves or exceeds performance expectations.

We need an Operations Manager to lead the regional delivery of services supporting people to change their lives positively through finding work. Our staff strive to make an impact by looking for new and innovative ways to motivate people who are disadvantaged in the job market. They deploy out-of-the box thinking to provide personalised support to help people take control over their lives.

To stand-out you need to champion and embrace change, balance the empathy of a charitable heart with a commercial edge, and be willing to learn and collaborate with others.

This role is ideal for a person with a background in management, budgeting and delivery of continuous improvement. Working with key stakeholders, the successful individual would have a proven track record of achieving objectives through strong relationship management. A solution focused approach, which enables risks and issues to be minimised is ideal, as is the ability to make decisions based on analytical assumptions.

This is a complex and challenging operations management role, which requires strong management and contract delivery skills. The post holder has responsibility for the efficient, effective and evidence based delivery of excellent performance in all services measured against contractual requirements.

Shaw Trust operates on a national level with over 2,000 staff and 1,000 volunteers. We work with the government, local authorities, combined authorities, health service providers, employers, and other stakeholders – including the Education and Skills Funding Agency, Department for Work and Pensions, clinical commissioning groups and NHS Trusts.

The ideal candidate must have an understanding of the local and regional labour market and employment issues within West London and able to maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the benefit system and entitlements.

Location:

Home Based but prepared to travel as necessary within the West London areas.
