Description

The Shaw Trust, in tandem with government and the broader employment support community across the UK is working hard to make sure we support as many individuals as possible to get and keep a job. To help us in this mission we are looking to appoint a senior operational lead for our Work and Health Programme. The programme, funded by the UK Government’s Department of Work and Pensions and is specifically designed to ensure people with health conditions and or disabilities can obtain the help they want.

Reporting to the Operations Director for Employability you will be responsible for managing senior leaders within our Programme and for maintaining “best in class” supply chain operations also.

Shaw Trust operates on a national level with over 2,000 staff and 1,000 volunteers. We work with the government, local authorities, combined authorities, health service providers, employers, and other stakeholders – including the Education and Skills Funding Agency, Department for Work and Pensions, clinical commissioning groups and NHS Trusts.

Your senior operational skillset will include

  • An exceptional ability to focus on the key behaviours that drive contract performance.
  • Experience of leading a multi-site contract in a complex environment.
  • Familiarity with and a commitment to formal continuous improvement strategies.
  • Great communication in both verbal and written form.
  • Committed to utilising management information inform action and improve focus

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar DWP contracts in addition to that of other commissioners such as Justice, education and skills, IAG, ESF etc.
