We are looking for dynamic and pro-active people to deliver the BOOST Plus programme in London! Come and join us!

We are currently offering fantastic opportunities for passionate individuals to join our venture in London working on BOOST, a 1 to 1 mentoring programme funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and commissioned by the Greater London Authority (GLA).

The Role

As Resilience Mentor you will work with vulnerable young people aged 15-19 years at risk of disengaging from Education, Employment or Training over a 15 month period. Resilience Mentors will help to build the young person's resilience to cope better with transition and change.

The Resilience Mentor will mentor a case load of young people on a one to one and small group basis. They will assess and build the young person's resilience to cope better with transition and change with a view to them progressing into and sustaining education, training and job outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

As a charity our participants are at the centre of the service we provide. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, the ideal candidate must:

  • Have a high level of self-motivation and an ability to manage conflicting pressures and deadlines
  • Be able to establish and maintain relationships with a variety of people at different levels within organisations
  • Have experience of carrying out assessments of young people’s needs and developing programmes of support tailored to meet individual needs
  • Have high level of self-motivation and an ability to achieve targets, work remotely and monitor own work and performance

Experience in coaching, mentoring, careers guidance or a related field, a relevant qualification at Level 4 is also desirable for this position.
