Description

Shaw Trust Group is going through a really exciting period of growth, with this we have recently been awarded the CFO 4 (Co-Financing Organisation) Contracts for the East Midlands, this contract is due to Go Live on 01 March 2021.  We are currently offering fantastic opportunities for passionate individuals to join our new venture covering Nottingham and Leicester, working with a team and on a one to one basis with ex-offenders to provide a holistic approach to help them re-engage with the community.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will manage a caseload of offenders in the community CFO Activity Hub, supporting them to engage and break down barriers to successful resettlement, achieve agreed milestones and develop enhanced skillsets. The successful candidate will deliver skills audits and tailored training/education information, advice and where appropriate deliver training on a one to one basis, to support participants to grow their confidence, motivation and skills. 

The Ideal Candidate

As a charity our participants are at the centre of the service we provide. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, the ideal candidate must:

  • Have a demonstrable experience of motivating and supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs to overcome barriers and progress towards future goals of education, training and employment
  • Have experience with data entry, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be proactive and solution focused, taking initiative to create opportunities
  • Be passionate about making a positive difference to peoples’ lives

Experience of supporting offenders in the community and/ or custody to progress towards education, training and employment is also desirable for this position.
